Socom Silencer

I'm at the part where you go back to the Storage area to get the sniper rifle to fight Sniper Wolf. The only way that I have found successful to kill the guards and get the rifle is using the socom with the silencer (This is my second time through the game).
However, I don't have the silencer anymore. I looked up a walk through and it said that it was in the room to the right of the Tank Hangar. I went in, killed the sleeping guard and picked up everything in the room, but it wasn't there.
A): how do I get the silencer?
B): are there any other ways to kill the guards in the storage area and get the sniper rifle?

The room on the east side of the tank hanger is where you find the suppressor. Are you sure you haven't already picked it up and just haven't attached it yet?

You don't need the suppressor to get the PSG-1 though, just do you best to sneak past the guards in the armoury and get to the room where the sniper rifle is located. If you need to kill the one near the room choke him.
