Are you sure its a red heart and not orange? Try giving her loads of gifts to check.

Get 4 hearts on the girl you want to marry(Celia give her flowers Muffy flowers and Nami stuff from the dig site) now in the Summer of the first year of the first Chapter you will get the Blue Feather now who ever you want to marry give them the Blue Feather now if they accept keep playing until the last day of Winter(10th) now when you wake up you will get married and have a kid
