How do you defeat Velius in Riovanes castle. I have tried every thing ..

Well first if you have any other recruites lose the geomancer, sure they can hit from a distance and cause stat problems but they are pityfull. First of all head straight for Velius( I know it sounds stupid but it works) Then put Ramza and the other lancer right on him and put Agrias behind one of them then leave one or two of the other recruits behind (mostly Mustadio to take them out before they get there) then pumel Velius. The reason for putting Agriase behind Ramza or the other lancer is because you need her she can cause major damage with her holy sword. So keep pumeling him and soon you'll have him beat. (teach one of you're characters x potion so you can keep going for longer and make sure you can hold the people off while you take on Velius because like the games name it's all about tactics)

Ok what you need to is position your players in a way to attack at the same time.

Then run and heal your players. If agris knows lighting sword that is the best thing to have.

Now if you can do all that you should be fine.

The people I used were Ramza, A lancer, Agrias, Mustadio, and a summoner that knew lich. Have Ramza go up to Velius and attack. Have the lancer mover and use Jump. Use Agrias' Holy explosion on Velius. Have Mustadio Attack from a distance and move. Then have the summoner use lich on Velius. It will do around 500 damage. Velius has 1000 HP.

Before the battle buy 3 bracers and equip them on ramza ,the geomancer,and the lancer if you already saved then equip any accesories you have that increase attack. Right away once the battle with velius starts ramza should move right away have him attack velius have mustadio move back and shoot also I like to use mustadio as a chemist because chemists also use guns.have the summoner with move +1 wizard rod ,golden hairpin black robe and magic gauntlet and have him use his strongest summon have the geomancer get close and attack phyisicly if he can't get close enough have him use an element skill if velius has already moved have your lancer jump.don't worry about the 3 demons unless they become a problem then kill 1 or 2 of them .this is probably the hardest battle you'll face I find it harder than st.ajora the end boss.velius has 850-1750hp it depends on your level this battle is also easier if your above level 35 .also if you have someone with battle skill and speed break have them use it on velius a couple times and the white magic skill holy works well.

This Batlle took me a loonnggg time to get. First off, I did it by making Ramza a monk...even though he is usually a knight. Make sure he knows Chakra and can accumulate. Continue to Accumulate until you're dealing a lot a lot of damage per hit. Move plus 1 is also good. But make sure you go after velius. Even if you can't hit him directly; wave fist or earth slash can deal damage. Its a tough battle; in my opinion the hardest, but it is possible. Just may take a few thousand tries!!! Hope this helps!

Honestly even with auto potion I don't find the accumulate method works too well. If your a low level like I was (25) you will find if he dosent use the AP (auto potion) the first time, the next time will kill you. I used float to avoid titan, lich from my summoner, jump from my lancer and holy explosion from ageris. Thats pretty much all I have to tell you, just lay into him with everything you got.

I used a knight with a powerbracer and two swords ability, I had him teleport and hit him for a loss of 245 two hits, I lancer dance and use nameless dance to set back all the archaic demons,a geomancer blast him with holy, agrias was agrais lol and ramza with a powerbrace and mastered squire and monk skill(primary)two sowrds hit him for a loss of 252 a pop I was around lv.37+ with all units

In my situation, I used lancer for five, all my character!! Remember to learn jump level effectively. Item skills and throw stone skill for sleeping ally. Focus jump on velius. At least you can avoid vellius's magic with your jump. It's my first play, and my characters's level are 25 below. Thats very simple tactic but so interesting to tell.
