You can't find them the Epic-Items are made.
(you will have to have all eight Digimon and there Rookie level at least at 45).
There are four levels:

The first level epic-items are: the Rusty and the Old items(Rusty Katana, Rusty Rifle, Rusty Gloves, Old Claw and Old Wand).

For the second level you need to have the level one Epic-items and you'll have to buy: Onimaru, Cluster Cannon, Kaiser Fist, Saber Fang and Khakkhara.

You will have to go to: Kabukimon, Shurimon, Nohemon, Shadramon and Ponchomon in this order and fuse the items you had to buy with the level one Epic-items(first: Rusty Katana, then: Rusty Rifle, etc) when do that you should have: Kotetsu, Justice, Zodiac, Vanquish and Twinkle.

For the third level you need to have the level two Epic-items and buy:Tenjinmaru, Laser Cannon, Tempest Arm, Venom Fang and Crystal Rod.

Now you will have to go to:Yashamon, Sagiratimon, Seehomon, Depthmon and Kongoumon when did that you should have: Masamune, Judgment, Prominence, Destruction and Immaculate.

For level four(the last one) you will need to have the level three Epic-items and buy: Belial Fang, Millenium, Raijin Fist, Suijin Cannon, Fuijin Blade.

Be carefull: you must fuse Belial fang and Destruction first, then Immaculate and Millenium, after that Raijin Fist and Prominence, then Suijin Cannon and Judgment and as last Fuijin Blade and Masamune(you'll have to go to Metal Etemon to fuse them).

When you did you will have the Epic-items you need to battle the original Amaterasu Leaders and go in the tournament(the level four Epic-items are: Invincible, Eternally, Super Nova, Punishment and Muramasa but you will have to get them befor you go in the portal to battle Lord Megadeath because you can't return to Amaterasu city after you step in to the portal).

Well I hope I helped you and that other one that said that they were fake is rong because I all ready won the tournament and played out the game..
