As far as I know, only the original eight are only ones you can play as.

Ok there is one more character *Tawna* but it's a cheat and spyro and n-tropy but they are all cheats tawna to get heryo must (in player sekection)press and hold L1 and R1 butit doesnt work I had try it and t doesnt activate thats sucks I can't even put a cheat on the gane none of them work except for the spyro demo

I did that, Rex. It's only a demo though. Also, you can't unlock anybody I'm afraid to say, unfortunatly.
