Question for Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back
Does anybody know how to get the box gem in Piston It Away? Whenever I go up the skull & crossbones portal I can't go back down. But, on the other hand, if I skip the portal and come back to it, I can't reach it because there are jumps that I can't make because of certain obstacles. Could you give me instructions on how to get there and tell me whatever I'm doing wrong?

Im having the same problem, have you figured it out yet or had any answers??? The only solution I can think of is to go through to the end, get all the boxes that way but don't go through the end portal, then back track to the cross & bones platform - but this has to be done without dying to keep the x & bones portal open. Its the only solution I can think of - which Im trying to do!!

"Piston it away" Box Gem How to get the gem for all the boxes. Go through without dying until you get the cross & bones platform to appear. Take a ride on the platform and then die whilst in there - this will make it register and stay open.
This will then return you back to the main platform of the game - don't worry about dying after this as the x & bones will remain open. When you return back and continue on - don't jump on the first spider as you need it to jump back on your return.
Continue through to the last box - don't go through the final portal - then make your way back to the cross & bones portal and take the ride and continue to the end. You will get the boxes gem when you have done this.
Im 100% in the game now!!! Whoohooooo

It is hold down your jumpbutton to make it easy step on the trap Platform spin the shot away to get a better view

If You Get Boxes Number 38 From Bouns And The Level Return To The Skull Platform And There A More Boxes In There (Note : Do Not Dying In The Level Or That Platform Well Not Appearing)
