finding boxes

In turtle wood I have been through it uncountables still it shows I missed 2 boxes. Also how do you get the 2 boxes that are outlined to fill up so you can get them ? I've tried looking for a box to it and go back after them but haven't been able to do so. Thanks for any help you csn give me.

I don't know if you've been through here but somewhere along the normal path of Turtle Woods there's a face on the ground which you need to bodyslam which will make you land in a secret area. You should see some boxes there. If you know this already, just double-checking ;)

I don't think there's a '!' box which makes boxes appear. The only '!' is in the secret area with the face on it which gets rid of 'Nitro' boxes. Otherwise, you might be confused with another level altogether [e.g. The Pits]! :p

As for the two boxes you keep missing, you may have missed ether the ones in the sludge pits or the ones sitting in the trees above the turtles' heads. Just after the bonus round, in the main level path, on two occasions, you'll see a turtle crawling to and fro with a box above it which will be visible. You need to wait until the turtle moves close to the area where the box is. Jump on the turtle's shell and reach the box to spin it. For a little extra height on the jump, hold the 'X' button down longer.

I hope this helps.

In the bonus level you have to also break the two arrow boxes.
