I don't like to cheat very often, but I do like to use tricks that give my sims that extra little advantage...
For example, if you have a grown-up Sim who is ready to move out on their own, but you're not really willing to leave all the fantastic stuff they have in their parent's house (only to start all over in a tiny house with no money), buy a whole bunch of new stuff, the kind of things you'll need to start up your new place, like a fridge, stove, couch, tv, bed, etc. Buy as much as your parents can afford. Then stuff it all into your inventory! Your sim can move out and enjoy all the comforts and high-quality items they had at home, without having to start from scratch!
There is a penguin in the Sims 2 Seasons. I only saw it once since I use the weather changer to live in Spring. He came out in the day time and there was snow everywhere. I took pictures. He's really cute and your Sims can pat him, cuddle him and shoo him. (You may be able to do other things with him. I don't really remeber.) It is probably luck if you see him. But if you do take loads of pics!
In your asperation rewards there is a weather changer which you can use to make it snow.rain.etc
I just got a surprise reward in my game. I found out that joining the garden club with an excellent garden (all plants being healthy, watered, fertilized, and bug free) will cause them to give a gift. It's a wishing well. I haven't testing how effective it is but it's wish options are: romance, friends, money. It also has an option to drink from the well. I haven't tried anything yet because I was so excited that I had to tell everyone first.
