Go to Magic Town and find Apothecary Todd. Talk to him and he'll send you on a quest. If he wants you to make someone happy, the easiest thing to do is make a relationship boost spell (2 honey and 1 pixie dust)before you go to Magic Town. Then when asked to help the person, you can cast it on them. Cast it once or twice and then talk to them and you'll be their friend in no time. Then go back to Todd and he'll give you a rare ingredient. You might have to go on more than one quest to get the clown confetti from him. To win at the toadstool race, you really need the purple cystal to teleport from place to place. It's the easiest. To get the crystals, you have to cast so many spells and so many charms, I do believe.
