Okay, I get now that you can walk to community lots, but now I can't go anywhere with the taxi either! Like, when somebody invites my sim downtown for an outing, I get in the taxi, the taxi leaves, then it takes my sim right back home! It usually isn't a problem because I can walk to a lot and the outing sims will still be there, but it's incredibly annoying. And when somebody invites my sim for a date the same thing happens but when I walk to the lot, the person who invited me isn't there! It happens for all of my families. What do I do? It's very frustrating, so if anybody has some answers for me or has had the same problem, please help.

Have you downloaded any hacks from the internet? Often hacks from the internet are the cause of problems because they interfere with the original game code. When I have game problems the first thing I do is start removing hacks in order to find out which hack caused it. I'm not talking about sims and clothing, I mean things that change the way the game works. If you don't have any hacks then I'd say that your game didn't install correctly. Uninstall it and try again. Before uninstalling you should backup anything that's important to you such as downloads, and any neighborhoods that your sims live in. Before installing a new expansion pack, ALWAYS remove the downloads folder. (I move mine to the desktop and put it back when the installation is done.) Forgetting to move a downloads folder that has hacks in it will cause game problems. Sometimes the game can become randomly corrupt and needs to be reinstalled. I have found 2 files that are constantly becoming corrupt and I've backed those up so that I don't have to keep reinstalling the game every other day.
