I think you need a sales manager.
Or click on the thinking customer yourself and
Click sale...normal sale or whatever it was.
They should start getting good stars soon.
Hope I helped

Everytime you see a customer looking around confused, always have a sim offer to help them or show them an item. Always do the basic sale. Higher sales pitches often annoy customers. Keep a constant watch on the store so that the inventory is well stocked and customers not ignored, don't keep them waiting at the register, keep the environment score up.

Keep your employees happy by giving them breaks when they are tired or they will quit unless you constantly give them raises in pay. If their pay is too low then they will mainly stay unhappy and rebellious. If an employee can't meet needs in the break room (which I hope you have) then send them home and call in the next round of employees. Unskilled employees waste alot of time no matter what you do, but won't leave unless unhappy.

I keep my sim shops running with family members rather than employess at sim homes. Sim families are easier to manage than employees. If a sim has no family I like to have the sim practice with the robot station until a servo can be built to help with the store. I also like to pass business skills on to the servo because they don't age and die.
