The ground is black!

Why is all of my grounds around my houses black and I can't do anything about it. Allso if I go in to one of the houses allready in the game the ground will be black. I can lay a floor but not grass, Why?!?!

You might have already solved this problem but it's probably a glitch. If it happened when you installed a new expansion pack or something you should try uninstalling it and then reinstalling it. Thats the only thing I know of that sometimes works.
