Monks are very underated and because of that they are very useful.
Once you have drive a tribeinto extinction take some monks and convert all the building that can be converted, except the markets. Then in a matter of five to ten minutes you have a new town.

You can also postion monks behind your wall and conveter enemy soliders as they are on there way to attack you. Doing that is actually quite funny.

Type in how do you turn this on in the chat box but before you press enter highlight the text and press ctrl+c (copy). Then press enter. Press enter again to get the chat screen up again and press control+v. Do this lots of times and get hundreds of cobras. Enjoy!!!!

First, For this hint you will need to play as the Teuton tribe. Start the game as you normally would, then when you get ready to attack, do this. Create as many Teutonic knights(built at castle) as you can, along with a large amount of archers(calvery archers work best). Double-click on one teutonic knight, this should select them all, and then hit Ctrl+1 on your keyboard. Next, double click on onr of your archers, selesting them all, and hit Ctrl+2. Now when you hit 1 on your keyboard it should select all of your Teutonic knights. Now you're ready to attack, use your Teutonic knights to destroy enemy buildings, while you use your archers to protect them. This hint works so well because the Teutonic knights are very strong against buildings. If you use this hint correctly you sholud be able to destroy all of your enemy's town with one attack.

When you reach the castle age....You know how all the english attack.Well then you make soldiers real fast.....So when the english attack they bring almost there entire army.

You gather up your army and then attack.After you will have killed all english then you go to there settlement and destroy it.

Because the english can't fight back the have about 15-20 soldiers they will die in like 5 minutes.Also bring your horse people and some soldiers.To destroy them.Then build catapults and ships take them to the english castle.

Becasue it is close to shore and it is facing the other way so gather up like 15 catapults and 3 ships and the castle will be destroyed in like 10 minutes.

Then after that you can make a temple.......I don't know what happens after that because I forgot to save.

If you have a dumb ass ally that can't tell the diference between conversions and killing, here is a simple cheat:

Switch your Diplomacy to "Neutral" and then grab a couple of monks.
Quickly get them over there and convert a couple of units you want (When I do random maps, I am always Byzanites, and I steal Tenutonic Knight) and walla! You have some new knights!

Hi!!!! Here are some cheats for you to do just press enter and type this in:
Lumberjack = 1000 Wood.
Cheese steak jimmy's = 1000 Food (include the apostrophe)
Robin hood = 1000 Gold
Rock on = 1000 stone

On all of these do not type in capitals

Here is a Tip for a great idea! Build any type of tower you know. Then put some of your military units behind the tower so the other players you are playing against cannot see them.

Then when they attack the tower your units come out and kill your opponents!

Use camels, rams, monks (yes they are handy so keep them plentiful!), any infantry that has building damage bonus and it may help to build a VERY sturdy city beside your enemy. Include bombard towers, castles (even multiple castles are good), a lot of stables, archery ranges, workshops etc.

Press enter then type how do you turn this on then select all of the words by dragging the mouse over them then press Ctrl+C then enter x2 then Ctrl+V then enter and repeat as much as you want.

Press [Enter] to display the chat window and type one of following codes to activate the corresponding cheat function.

Note: The codes can not be enabled in a multi-player game unless the host selects "Allow Cheats" check box when the game is set-up.

Artillery points are best put around, but far away from your enemys.

To build one you need to be in the imperial age. Get some Trebucheys, as many as you want about 5 will do.

Send a couple of villagers and your Trebuchet to where you want the artillery point. Unpack your Trebuchey and get your villagers to start building walls around it, then bulid 2 bombard towers and 2 keeps for protection. If you can you can try being the Trebucheys range away from your enemies town to soften them up before an attack.

When destroying enemy buildings leave the Market standing. After the enemy has resigned you can still send Trade Carts to the Market to earn extra gold.

If you are the Britons then build a 3 layer wall and put trebuchets your side of it.

Not a single enemy close-range seige weapon (ie. Capped Ram) will get near you and other hand to hand units will easily die...

If the enemy of yours becomes strong or very strong(as you think it is) and has many monks and it starts harrassing you by this unit, you should first try to destroy all of their monastries and monks.

Then try to destroy their town centre by some siege rams, capped rams or battering rams and kill all of their villagers. This trick will work best when all the resources are over.

Always before attacking your enemy you must first harrass them by attacking them by rams, siege onagers(if availaible), onagers and trebuchets.

Then when their army comes you bring your army and them war!!!!!!!!. At the time of harrassing you can even destroy their castles and towers using your long range of trebuchets.

They will be certainly annoyed and will have nothing for protection.

if you are mongols, create many elite mangduais and put them outside the gate. The enemy will annoyed and when they open their gate GET IN QUICKLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok first when u have an ally they r usually too dumb to protect themselves, so help them out and build them a wall casue they can still go through ur gates.

The best way to fight elephants is with horse archers.

First fire and them and because the elephants r slow when they get close move back a bit and fire again.

This will eventually kill them. even better is to lure them to ur wall and go inside ur gate and let ur towers help out.

Oh, and Japan and China seem to be the best.

The key to surviving in this game is villagers.



When rushing an opponent always bring villigers along to build some resting areas and every so often add some units to your army, these bases will also slow down your opponents army when he rushes you.

Also with villigers build some watch towers around his base so if he attacks your long range units that are attacking his walls (trebs, bombard cannons, longbowmen etc...) they will die before they hurt anyone.

HOW TO GET OUT OF THE DARK AGE FAST



The absolute first thing you do is press H then hold shift and press C this will create about 5 villagers.



Next take one villager and make him chop wood and the two others build two houses and a mill near your berries then send them to forage. When the villigers are finished training then get them on the sheep if you have none send him on deer, wild boar... keep making villagers and putting on food and just a few on wood until you have 24 villigers then advance to the feudal age.
