To level up your spirt, you have to put it in your deck and use it in a duel, that way it will get some exp.

Use it in a duel, then it'll gain some experience.

I dueled a lot of times and my duel spirit never leveled up.Not to be rude or anything but I think whoever said dueling would give the duel spirit experiece is wrong.
