Question for Yoshis Island DS

Hey this is confusing in 3-4... I'm trying to shoot an egg into the Cheep-Cheeps mouth but it's not working it just jumps to quick whats a better way to get the egg in the Cheep-Cheeps mouth?
P.S.oh yeah in the Boos room theres a lock in this door when you climb down the steps how do you open it?

Aim and lock upwards so you are ready that when Bassie Bass comes down you can shoot an egg immediately into her mouth. Good Luck!
I would answer your second question but I don't really understand it. I think this is what you mean so here you go: You go in a pipe and there is a box thing. Push that over to the top ledge and jump on it to get higher then push the pot plant all the way off the ledge to get the key.
