Question for The Sims 2: Castaway

I am stuck, I can't trade with ms.weeder how do you trade with her.Also I'm stuck on the boat because when I click on the boat it only says examine but I only have a chisel not a knife yet so I don't whats going on so can somebody help me asap! I been stuck for like a month

You need offer help to mrs weeder and do what she asks. Only then your able to trade with her. The knife is given from mr.chef or you can go to the crafting area and see if you can craft the knife. The boat does take a while to actually produce. Just make sure your sim has a lot of energy to carve the boat.

I am so confused!?
Mrs weeder wants mangos. I cannot do this without a hammer to build the boat. I cannot get the hammer from chef until I get him a lime. Mrs weeder will not trade yet. The doctor wants a curry and I need a knife. The chef will give me a knife if I do his task. I am stuck in a circle, please HELP!!!!
