Once you have upgraded the fire for the last time for Chef Butcher, he will give you a knife

Ok so how do I get the mango and the lime from the other island when I don't have the hammer to make the canoe (the boat) and I can't get the hammer handle until I get the curry to the dr and I can't get the curry until I get the mango to the man just 2 islands away from her because I've heard he gives out the curry! Help me pleeease!
