At 99%, what do I do?

Has anyone got to 100% yet? I need 4 items of clothing and all have to come from the crate. I have been walking around the island for days and weeks looking after my plants and talking to people but there is nothing new I can do. Nothing new has washed up in the crate for yonks and it's getting a bit tedious. Does anyone know if there is anything special I have to do to get the last items?



Comment:(Nov 7 2008) I say crate but I mean suitcase...

I'm not that far in the game but from what I've read you have to collect bamboo to make a clothing crafting table. Then you use vines and the knife to make thread then you can craft new clothing.

The above submitted answer is not entirely correct... Or rather, it omits one important point; that not all of the clothes can be made by oneself, and various items, hats in particular, wash up in a suitcase. Sadly, on this one I can't help you. I CAN tell you that until earlier this week I was simply waiting for two clothing items (both are items which I didn't choose at the beginning of that game when making my character, if that helps) when suddenly one washed up, but I have been playing for more than 150 days waiting for the last one, and it's not coming. It is getting tedious indeed!
