Help!

I can't go any further on the game until I get the knife and chisel, I think you get them from Chef Butcher, but he won't seem to talk to my sim, how do I get him to like my sim again!! Also, where do you get the thread for the clothes?

Try giving the chef some gifts, he likes eggs. Do this untill the friendshipbar turns green again and you`ll be able to talk to him and help him.

Oh I forgot. As for the tread you should be able to make it at the crafting station.
