help how do i launch the canoe

Help!!! I built the canoe but now when I click on it it just has the option the examine it not to use it??? How do I get to the other island on it if I can't use it??

I believe everyone has had this problem haha. You have to touch the arrow instead of the canoe and it will say use canoe. Even though it still takes me several times to get it right appearantly the spot you must touch is a bit small. So keep tryin, good luck.
