Where is the sewing station

I am a newbie to the Sims, and have just started the game. I am so stuck because I can't find the SEWING STATION!!! I've got the crafting station, and the food preparation station, but the sewing station is driving me crazy. Maybe I'm just not smart enough to master this game, but if anyone can help me out on this, I would very much appreciate it.
No one wants to be my friend because my clothes are so ragged. I've got everything I need to make new ones, but can't find the place to make them. Somebody, please help. Thanks a lot.

Where is the door with the skull

The sewing station is on the Island on the right. When you see the door with the skull on it go all the way to the right and you should find it there.
