Making the spade

Hi everyone. I started playing this game a few days ago, and I'm stuck already. I just completed Weeder's second quest (the pesticide) and she gave me a spade head and handle, which are used to make a spade (duh), but I can't make it. I've tried it on the crafting stone west from my house, but it's not in there. Sorry for the silly question, but please help me!

Thats odd. Yoou may not be looking for it hard enough because I am sure thats were it should be. An d if it's what I think it is a axe not a spade then it should be there. If not look at my bio and email and I will try and help.
