I NEED MAJOR HELP!!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

I am playing The Sims 2: Castaway for Nintendo DS. I have been playing for a while, and I have become extremely stuck. At this point, I need mangoes for the gardener- a curry dish for the doctor- an upgraded fire for the butcher.
<BR>I know that I need three things- sticks, shovel, and something else- to upgrade the butcher's fire. BUT....I do not know how to get the spade...I have the handle and the head of the shovel, but do not know how to make it. And I know that you can't go to the crafting table and make it.
<BR>If I do not get the fire upgraded I cannot get the mangoes for the gardener or the curry dish for the doctor...CAN I????
<BR>ALSO..... I need the ROPE!!!! I need the rope for the grappling hook and to repair the bridge. How do I make rope...I can't go to the crafting table to make it....It doesn't appear as a choice!!!! Confused~!!!!!
<BR>I don't know what to do....Please Help Me!!!!!!!

ANSWERS

First of all, do not worry about the curry dish, that is the last thing you do in this game. Before you get the shovel, you need to give Ms.Weeder the mangoes which also means you have to make the canoe. After you make it, you will go to the 3rd island and find the mangoe tree and Suzie McDress. Bring the mangoes back and Ms.Weeder will give you the 2 necessary parts to build the shovel. Go to the crafting table and make it. Then you can go make the fire. You are mistaken. You CAN make the hammer with the head and the handel at the crafting table. It is just one of the question marks I think. You make the rope at the crafting table also and again, it is just one of the question marks. You will need 2 vines to make Rope.
