Ok I just did this today.. After getting everything for the plaiting lady. You will beable to trade with her seeds, then you get bamboo seeds and plant them you need a knife to cut them down, and the glass is in the sea, you have to dive for it,
And for the cure, the lady should tell you what kinda fish she need to finish it, just go to here again and she'll tell you

You get bamboo from the gardener. After you get her mangoes, she will then trade seeds with you. She has the bamboo seeds.

Yeah...you get the bamboo seeds from the gardener lady and then you need the knife to cut the bamboo down (it make take 3 of 4 game days though) the only place I've found the broken bottle though was at the third island in the deep pong thing you can go diving in. I still haven't found the second piece you need to make the telescope.
