Fire for the cook

Okay had already set up the fire for the cook. I've been trying to light it and it seems impossible to do it. Why is that? I've tried it several times and it wouldnt let me.

I have a lot of vines but how do I make a rope?? Thanks

I just figured this out when it says blow you have to blow into you're ds
