Question for The Sims 2: Castaway

I am so lost..... I've done everything I can I have 3 islands, I've helped everybody on the 3 islands, I have all the tools, and almost every thing else except for what I can't find. I'm 76% done but I don't have another pole so I can't build the fire that I use the pot to cook with. I don't have any seeds for rice or the purple shell that i need for the watermelon seed. I have everything that everyone is trying to trade me. I've made everything that I have the option to make. All I'm doing right now is wandering around keeeping everyone happy and collecting stuff everyday. Please tell me if I'm forgetting something because I am not making any progress.

There is a rice plant by the bridge. Water it and harvest it.

After days of searching myself for the pole I found the answer. You have to be able to play the music game with suzy, and you have to spell sos on the beach. Dig up rocks if you need them. Then after you do well in the music game you get the pole for the chefs fire.
