2nd basement
Help! The 1st time I played it I had gotten the key by stepping on the switch and using my boomerang. I died a few seconds later.Went back through to 2nd basement and now I can't find the key to open the door to the 3rd basement!!! I've checked my items and it's not on me.Time is running out on me!

You have to hit the two orb switches (down-left and directly right of the stationary phantom) quickly and the key will fall out of nowhere (seriously nowhere, it didn't come out of the sky, you are 2 floors underground) anyway that's where it came from.
