Where's my boomerang?!?!

Hello everyone! As soon as I got the boomerang in the Ocean King Temple, I went to look at it in my items and it wasn't there!!! Strange huh?
Does anyone know about this? If it can be fixed by an action replay code, PLEASE, tell me it!!! Without it I can't get past Karr (or whatever his name was). Thanks in advance!!!
