Its kind of hard for me to tell you what to do, but I would recommend using a walkthrough because walkthroughs do help a lot. But your not bothered to check a walkthrough, I'll try and tell you what you might need to do from what I completed in the game.

I think from where you are in the temple, you don't get the grappling hook yet. When you first arrive to Floor 3, go south and stand on the wooden pole and shoot Arrows, boomerang, whatever, at the switch to make the Ice melt. After that, you come to the other side and find levers which you must pull in the correct order. I think I remember this being a little tricky in finding some clues. After that you Input the correct way to get, I think you get a key for the door or it opens a door, either way you should go around to the door in the top middle area and go through it to continue. The Clues are located to the Left of the Levers, Top Left of the map, Bottom Left of the Map and 1 on a levitaded platform which you must access by hitting the blue and red switch to make the Blue Walls down.

I seemed to not have the order sketched on but the Top and Bottom Clues are easy to figure out, Its just getting the the Last one that makes it so tricky.
