If you mean the island to the northeast corner, you must plant a bomb directly west from the middle of the northeast island.

The island of mercay is the island you start on. When you do get your first sea chart, it should be located on the North East area. If you had wanting to get off it. You must first find Linebeck in the temple of the ocean and than claim the sea chart. Take it outside and he takes it back to his ship in the South East area of the map where theres a ship marked. Go there to continue your adventuring and soon enough you can go off the Island. If you chose to stay just talk to Linebeck again and he'll than take you off, making sure you ignore what he's saying and pressing yes when the option appears.
Hope that helps. Next time when asking a question, make sure you got full details or checked the sentence for mistake. I couldn't understand the question if you weren't sure where mercay was or how to get off it.

To get off the island you may get around then talk the the wizard guy in the house then you go to the people the fish shop.
