help me please!!

Ok I have been stuck on this part scince I gat this game...i'm in the Mountain Passage part of my game and I'm on 2f and I can't figure out how to get the key from the purple rat. Can someone help me please?

Use your boomerang to kill it then get the key

There should be a box near by one hole to the left side. Puxh that box to block the hole and when the rat comes from the other hole he will try to run to the hole you just bolcked. When he does this corner him in then kill him with your sword.

Put the box over the left hole and wait by the locked door. The rat will come out of the right. When it is halfway between the 2 holes, run in. It will not be able to go in the hole so you have it cornered.

I suppose you could put the block in front, but what I did was I ignored all the rats trying to attack you as you go in, and I ran straight up. I waited halfway between the 2 holes, and the rat ran straight into me, and I killed it.
