I am trying to defeat this dragon on 6-6 and I don't know when I am sopposed to use my fire vibe to break the ice I have tried everything

when he is just standing, b4 he does anything, DO NOT touch him, but stand close to him with the fire and wait until it hits him three times. when he starts flying, stand on the icicles that are stuck in the ground.
this is only for the first three lives of the dragon but when he blows the ice duck under the umbrella then use your fire vibe and stand next beside him then his ice will start to crack, do this 3 times for 3 lives and then i don't know from there.
