Open up the cannon where the fatass penguin is, then fly toward the tree on the other side(it'll keep you from falling forever). Then walk across the bridge(its thin) and then have mario jump the wall kick until you come to an ice bridge. Walk across and get that star!

There's an easier way. Use Luigi. His back flip is very usefull.
