Blast Away at the Wall

Slightly quicker...get into the cannon and aim at the top corner of the wall farthest away from you. The corner will break off. You can either attempt to shoot yourself into it (which generally kills you), or you can make your way up to above the star, and drop down and get it from there.

Stand Tall on the Four Pillars

First you have to make your way up the four pillars in the level. Some you can just run up, but for the rest you'll need an alternate way up. The easiest is to play as Mario and use the Wing Cap. You'll know you did it right when the top of the pyramid blows off. Go to the top, and drop into the open hole. You'll land on an elevator, which will be inside the pyramid. Wait for it to stop, then jump into the hole in the brick wall. Go down the corridor, and defeat the boss by punching or kicking the eyes on it's hands. Then, simply grab the star.


There are 30 Secret Stars. I'm more familiar with the original N64 version though, so that's also why I cannot answer about Rainbow Ride.

1-2-3) Red Coins in Bowser levels
4) Princess's Secret Slide
5) Princess's Secret Slide in 21 seconds or less
6) Silver Stars under the brick blocks in the Courtyard
7) Red Coins in the Boos in the Courtyard
8) Collect all shining rabbits. And unlock the door in the character-select room
