Question 2) How do you save Luigi?

I don't know about your 1st question...
But for the second one, to save Luigi, go to Boo's level and go to the room on the top story with a lot of books, jump on the red box, and enter the door you see

1.You now the light shining from the hole in the roof when you enter the castle.Stand in the light with mario then press x and look up and I can`t tell you any more so find the rest out your self.
