Question for Pokemon Ranger

I'm a Ranger level 8 and I cannot capture the Steelix or whatever it's called in the really cold, ice place, none of the assists seem to work very well and I'm totally stuck there. Can anyone help me?

I had the same problem and get past by waiting untill it circled and useing the dark assist which has no disadvantage, doubles your line, and losses energy<:(.

Chrusher answered:

Get a gengar and use him.

Treecko99 answered:

When Steelix is about to curl up like a ball use your partner pokemons discharge. Surprisingly it works.

tallgamer answered:

When I finally figured this out I felt dumb by how easy it was. Catch the Dusclops you see before you fight him and when he curls up use his assist. When he curls up use Dusclops Pokeassist. It makes Steelix stop movin so you can catch him

mega mew answered:

Try to paralyze him when he is in a circlare shape then circle him with you styler really fast.
