Question for Pokemon Platinum

I'd like to change my trianer ID in Pokemon Platinum. Also, does changing your trainer ID have any negative effects on your game?

There are two ways to change your Trainer ID: by starting a new game or by using an Action Replay Code.

I noticed that you already made a Topic in the Action Replay Forums. That is probably the best.

There is always a risk when you use codes. It may or may not hurt your game. There is always a risk.

It's impossible to change your trainer ID without using Action Replay (Unless you restart your game), and even though I don't really know what exactly the negative repercussions are of changing the ID, I'll take an educated guess and say it may remove your ability to trade with other people, since the ID# is shared around when you trade. Plus, you take a risk when using an Action Replay anyway. You never know what will happen.

The two possible ways to change your Trainer ID are to start a new game or use a cheat code. Starting a new game will change your Trainer ID randomly, but with cheat codes for Action Replay you have some way of controlling your Secret ID, if you know the ways of hexadecimal.
