The only other ways to obtain Groudon in Pokemon Platinum besides trading is by an AR Code or by Migration (Pal Park).

You can use a cheat code to get Groudon, not that I know any, or maybe trade.

First you need the national dex and next go to heart home city and in one of the apartments there will be a fisher man talk to him and he will say he saw rayquaza ,kyogre and Groudon go to stark mountain and groudon will in the lava then talk to him and you will get in a battle with him if you don't have some master balls to spare then use sixty ultra balls and then use timer balls trust me that's how I got him
