If you could somehow obtain the Adamant and Lustrous Orbs, you can battle Dialga and Palkia on Spear Pillar.

Once you obtain the Lustrous Orb you can battle Palkia, once you find the Adamant Orb you can battle Dialga. You don't need both, nor do you need to get them in any specific order. Bringing the orbs to the peak will cause a blue or pink tear in space to appear. Interact to fight one of the dragons.
