What do the colors mean. I noticed with the white I always found the Pokemon I was looking for but with the red glowing area I could never locate the Pokemon I was looking for. For example a feebas.

If it's highlighted and glowing in red, the Pokemon IS there. But, since you were looking for a feebas, you failed to find it due to feebas' extreme rarity. White means the same, seeing as they alternate between red and white.

Color is the rarity white being the easiest to find and red being the hardest.
