I'm having trouble obtaining a Munchlax in Diamond, Peral, and Platinum. The guide says to Slather honey on a honey tree, But I've only seen the following Pokemon on Honey trees: Combee, Aipom, Cherubi, Burmy, and I think Heracross. But I've faild to find Munchlax. Can I get a Munchlax by breeding a Snorelax, or can he only be obtained through Slathering honey on trees? Do you have to slather honey on one Tree more than once to find Him?

Give a snorlax a lax incense and breed it to get munchlax but it has to be holding a lax incense.
It can be obtained by slathering the trees but it has a VERY small chance of appearing, just 1% I thing. In other words, out of every 100 Pokemon you encounter, approximately 1 will be a munchlax.
So yah, breeding would be better.
Well, getting Munchlax isn't easy, that's for sure. There's two thing you can do:
1. Keep trying to get it from the honey tree (don't let the pokedex fool you though because it says area unknown)
Or...
2. Migrate Snorlax and have it hold the Full Incense (not lax) and breed it with a Ditto.
Perferably direction number 2.
At least one person didn't find Wurmple on a tree. Anyway, give Snorlax the Lax or Full(don't know which one) Inscence and breed it with a Ditto. You can catch Ditto in the Trophy Garden one day. You can only get Snorlax by trading or migrating. Yes the guide is right only it is the rarest of all the Pokemon on trees and you have less than 1% encountering it. Just to let you know you have seen all Pokemon on trees except Munchlax and Wurmple.
