Skull Fossil

Does anyone know how to obtain the Skull Fossil, because I REALLY want to obtain a Cranidos. I went to the Shinnoh underground, and all I've been obtaining for fossils are Armor Fossils?

It's completely random. If all you're getting is armor fossils, thats just miserable luck. If you have wi-fi, you can trade for a cranidos. Or if you use action replay, you can hack one. Or if youre going for your own cranidos, just keep digging. I seem to have the same problem, though I have unearthed Skull fossils. They just seem to be more rare than the others.

I usually find them on the east side of the underground

You have to go to the Underground under the place with the first gym or second gym and look for treasure. Make sure you go right under the Pokemon Center.

Once you have the national pokedex you can dig for all fossil ..........

If your playing Pokemon platinum they limited what you find either Skull or Armor fossil based on your trainer ID. If you have an odd trainer ID you will find only Skull fossils and if you have an even trainer ID then you will find only Armor fossils. I hope this helps.

The Fossils thing on Plat. Is kinda weird. Look at you're ID Card and if the last number is even then it's a Sheldon and if it's odd then Cranidos. It seems like urs is even and thats why you're getting Sheldon

blastoise89 answered:

You are only able to obtain EITHER the skull or the armor fossil, depending on your trainer ID number (found in the start menu, under your character's name)
--If your ID is an even number, you'll be getting only armor fossils
--If your ID is an odd number, you'll only be getting skull fossils

You have to be traded the skull fossil or Cranidos to obtain it.

After obtaining the national dex, you will be able to obtain root, claw, dome, and helix fossils as well as old amber the same way as you're getting the armor fossils now.
