Updating Action Replay with Pokemon Platinum Codes?

How do I enter new Pokemon Platinum Codes into my son's action replay when it doesn't recognize the new game? I'm new to all this! If someone could give me some pointers or walk me through how to enter the codes and get the action replay to recognize the game I'd really appreciate it. My son is driving me crazy!! Is this even possible? Thanks so much! Cathy

Why does everyone only want to cheat on this game!? It totally and completely sucks the fun out of the game! I just don't get it.

Sting Ray answered:

To enter codes into the action replay, you need to first get the Game ID code, which is CPUE-D074D1B3.

You simply select the little (*) at the bottom left corner of the touch screen, and select "Add New Game". Now give the game a name, and enter the Game ID Code.

Once that's done, you'll have a blank page with one option: "Add New Code".
Select it, and enter a name for the code. Then press "NEXT", and enter the code of the cheat you, (Or in this case, your son) wants.

NOTE: MAKE SURE YOU DOUBLE CHECK YOUR NUMBERS!
Many of these codes are very long, and it's extremely easy to mess up a number.

Once that's all done, simply press next, and test the code.

Final note: Some codes may not work even when put in correctly, this is usually due to a mistake when the submitter posted the code. But sometimes they're just not coded right.

Do have fun. ;D
