BUG-CATCHING CONTEST

I've tried playing the Bug Catching Contest, but I'm NEVER able to win! :(

I've always tried catching either a SCYTHER, or a PINSIR since they score High, but I always Loose in the end by not making any of the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place winners.

Why do I keep Loosing every time?
And
Can you tell me an easy way to win the Bug-Catching Contest?

I can't really think of a reason why you keep losing. Pinsir and Scyther should help you win.

Try catching a Level 30 Beedrill, Level 30 Butterfree, Level 32 Dustox, Level 36 Illumise, Level 36 Volbeat, or a Level 32 Beautifly. See if that helps you win. If that doesn't, I don't know what will.

Hope this helps!

You gain points for the following things:

The level of the pokemon. You gain points on this one based on the level you caught it at and the maximum level it can be found in the park.

The pokemon's IVs relative to the maximum value.

The percentage of HP the Pokemon has when caught (100%=maximum points).

A rarity factor. You will get either 60 points (Caterpie, Metapod, Weedle, Kakuna, Wurmple, Silcoon, Cascoon, or Kricketot), 80 points (all Pokémon not mentioned), or 100 points (Scyther or Pinsir).
