You can ONLY enter cheats with a Gameshark or AR. I do not recomend using them, because you can severly damage your game.

You can not enter cheat codes onto your DS system without Action Replay or Gameshark. These are the cheating devices you must have to cheat.

Well,that's not true.you CAN have cheats without Action Replay,Codebreaker DS or gameshark.most of the DS gamecards that can hold multiple games,have cheats.

Well,There are 3 ways to get Pokemon heartgold with cheats.
1.Get an R4i SDHC BETA (Card is WHITE colored)
By getting this game card,you can get alot of games in only one game card.this game card contains DS cheats.
2.Playing Pokemon on PC using No$gba that has Action Replay cheats and code breaker cheats.
3.Buying Action Replay.

1.buy an R4i SDHC BETA (White colored)game card that comes with cheats.(To use thease cheats,Simply press Y
On the game you want then,a menu should popup then press X then the cheats menu will open.
2.play Pokemon on PC using No$gba that comes with Action Replay And codebreaker DS cheats at the "Utility".
3.Buy Action Replay.

Action replay can be very dangerous it could turn all of your Pokemon to bad eggs and theres no way to fix it it happened to me and a gym leader popped out of the grass crashed my game and turned all my Pokemon to bad eggs
