Michael answered:

Shiny Pokemon are very rare. There is a 1 in 8,000 chance of finding one in the Wild. That's probably why you have never seen one.

Most Shiny Pokemon are hacked. People use Cheats/Codes to make there Pokemon Shiny.

Some people also use a certain method to hatch Shiny Pokemon. If you Breed a Pokemon from the US and a Pokemon from a different country, the chances of the Pokemon being Shiny will increase to about 1 in 1,400.

There are many ways to obtain Shiny Pokemon. You can obtain them in the Wild, by Eggs, by Trades, or by Cheats/Codes.

Hope this helps!

You can find them in the wild but it's like a one in a million chance.

You may also hatch a Pokemon with a foreign ditto wich gets you a better chance of getting ashiny Pokemon.
