You can do a few things after you defeat Alder:
1. Finish the Unova Pokedex
2. Finish the National Pokedex
3. Battle at the Battle Subway
4. Train your Pokemon
5. Find the Six Sages
The only way to obtain Charmander, Bulbasaur, and Squirtle is by Trade or PokeTransfer.

You can also get all 100 musical props, that is a requirement for getting a Trainer Star and changing the color of your Trainer Card.
