I don't think you can on this game, maybe on another game, but I don't recall seeing one for this one.
Nope havent heard of a st. Bernard. Maybe your friend was thinking of a different breed.
No you cannot, I have all of the nintendogs games (except nintendogs+cats) and I have never seen anything like saint bernard, maybe your friend was thinking of the jack russle or the german shepard, they might have a saint bernard on nintendogs+cats but not the original version for the ds
