If by newest you mean newer they both came out at the same time
But I like chiuaua & friends

All breeds came out the same day, and it doesn't matter which one you pick, you can unlock all dogs on any breed. Just pick any breed you choose, Lab, Chihuahua or Dachsund. Or, if you like Japanese, you can get Shiba and friends. But the last one, the special one (but you CAN get all dogs on it), Best Friends, you can only, ONLY, get that with the teal or pink DS bundle!!!(pink one is only available at toys r' us I think.)

P.S. You can unlock breeds by getting TRAINER POINTS, or by playing WIRELESS BARK MODE with friends that have Nintendogs! Hope you like this information!!!

Neither is newest,the newest Nintendogs is called Nintendogs:Best Friends,get that if you want a wide range of breeds
