In a certain stage there is a secret room with a red flag.

Go to Level 2-A. Near the end of the level, there is one last spin jump platform to reach the last Star Coin in that level. Jump on the spin jump platform and fly down to the Red Turtle. Have A(jump)held down while falling towards the turtle(be careful of the big fish that jumps out of the water). Drop on him and you will get a boost up to the yellow pipe. Go into that and end the level by jumping for the red flag.
Hey presto, you have unlocked the cannon on World 2(which will take you to World 5(the snow world).

ON WORLD2 U HAVE TO KILL THE BOSS ON THE LAST CASTLE ON WORLD 2 WITH MINI MARIO/LUIGI.....
